Happy Birthday ReSpektOnline!

On July 22, 2007, myself and Kate Sloan launched ReSpektOnline. At the time there wasn't much of anything. A few demos, some rare tracks, and about 5 concerts.

Shortly after launch I was able to meet some great people who kept this project in motion - andreseng, mrhen, eshbach, and all the community members.

The growth of ReSpektonline has been overwhelming. In the first couple of months we were lucky if we got 500 people to come to the site in a month, now we get over 1,000 visitors in a single day.

We have over 40 live shows, 9 high quality studio sessions, 18 demos, and 27 videos. And those numbers grow every month.

I get mail from all over the world from people who are using and enjoying the site. I am amazed that my little idea went this far.

As a Birthday present we'd like to open the doors to the Photos section of the site. With this new addition to the site, we encourage everyone to upload pictures they've taken at Regina Spektor concerts they've been to. It's pretty evident that we'll never get full video for every show she performs, so we'll try to tell the complete story through photos and audio. I really hope everyone participates and uploads some photos!
